York County First Steps is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of local community members with a variety of backgrounds. We come together for the singular purpose of providing the most effective early childhood interventions for our at risk children through our service to York County First Steps. To make our Board of Directors the most effective the members represent local school districts, State service providers such as Department of Social Services and Department of Health and Environmental Control, early childhood specialist, as well as other community leaders that have a vested interest in early childhood interventions. Our current Board of Directors are listed below.
To serve on the YCFS Board we ask that you agree to make a commitment to:
- Be a community voice for early childhood initiatives within your sphere of influence, both personally and professionally.
- Support YCFS with not only your time and talents in achieving the mission of YCFS but also with your monetary support. This support is to be at an individual’s personal comfort level.
